What to do this weekend: 9-10 December
Harajuku Kitchen at Cabaret Voltaire
Harajuku Kitchen has been popping up at Cabaret Voltaire during the last few weeks - have you been yet? The menu features izakaya bites (Japanese pub food) such as their signature gyozas, takoyaki, bao buns and other delicious dishes. The kitchen is open between 5pm and 10.30pm from Friday to Sunday. They offer 30% off your food bill on Sundays and there is 30% off all days for students too.
24 Doors of Advent: doors 9 and 10
This weekend features two of our favourite doors during this year's 24 Doors of Advent event. On Saturday the otherwise rarely open Robert Burns monument will be open between 11am and 4pm. On Sunday the beautiful Mansfield Traquair will be welcoming visitors between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
9TH DECEMBER, SATURDAY
Out of the Blue Xmas Arts Market
If you are still looking for Christmas stocking fillers, the Out of the Blue Drill Hall has an excellent makers market where you can do all your Christmas shopping and support local artists at the same time. As usual, the Drill Hall Arts Cafe will be open, serving delicious meals and refreshments. There will be also live music between 11.30am and 2.30pm.
10TH DECEMBER, SUNDAY
Finnish Christmas Market
You might have heard that Finland celebrated the 100th anniversary of their independence this week. Listen to some Finnish Christmas carols and visit the Finnish Christmas Market as a perfect way to celebrate. The event is on between 11am and 1.45pm at St Stephen's Church in Stockbridge.
Have a nice weekend!
