What to do this weekend: 20-21 January
Get your haggis!
With Burns night coming up next week, you might want to think about getting your haggis, neeps and tatties. Why not shop local and get your ingredients from local farmers markets, such as the Edinburgh Farmers Market at Castle Terrace on Saturday or the Stockbridge Market on Sunday? Oh and don't forget the whisky, slainte!
20TH JANUARY, SATURDAY
If you missed out the play Hedda Gabler running at Edinburgh last year, you can still catch it at Glasgow's Theatre Royal. Henrik Ibsen's masterpiece has been adapted by award-winning playwright, Patrick Marber. While there, make sure to check out the beautiful spiral staircase of the theatre.
21ST JANUARY, SUNDAY
The National Museum of Scotland is having a rich programme of Burns-themed fun for all ages this Sunday between 11am and 4pm. The event is free, and it includes traditional music and dance, dressing up and poetry workshops. Check out the full programme here.
Have a nice weekend!
