What to do this weekend: 10-11 February
Edinburgh Restaurant Festival
If you followed my Instagram stories at @edienthusiast last weekend, you might have spotted we were out for a special event - the Edinburgh Restaurant Festival kicked off earlier this week and the grammers of @igersedinburgh were given a sneak peak what it has to offer. We were kindly hosted for a Moveable Feast and tried some delicious courses at Gusto, Cadiz, The Refinery at St Andrew Square and Dishoom. The fest is on until 25th February with many restaurants participating around George Street, Princes Street, Rose Street and St Andrews Square.
Groats Pop-up at Hyde & Son
The popular porridge pop-up of Groats (what an alliteration!) is back this weekend at Hyde & Son. We love porridge so much that we have it for breakfast almost every day - it's great to see Groats stirring up the porridge game in the 'burgh. Oh and it's possibly the most instagrramable porridge and venue combo, with Hyde & Son's beautiful interiors certainly pleasing the eye!
Looking for something to brighten up the dark February nights? Visit Lumen! From tonight (8 February) until 11 March between 5pm and 10.30pm you will find special light and sound installations around Edinburgh city centre. Visit the 'Serenity Gardens' at St Andrew Square, the 'Moments Lane' in Assembly Rooms Lane and the 'Ocean of Light' at The Mound precinct. Read more about the event here.
Love cheese? The Festival of Cheese is coming to the Corn Exchange this weekend to make your cheesiest dreams come true. Expect street food, artisan traders and lots of cheese from mozzarella sticks to halloumi fries. Book your tickets via Eventbrite.
Have a nice weekend!
