What to do this weekend: 14-15 April
Last days of EdSciFest
This weekend is your last chance to enjoy the 2018 Edinburgh International Science Festival. Highlights include the signature event Mini Maker Fair, the Wildlife Photogapher of the Year exhibition and the free Tam Dalyell Prize Lecture at the stunning Playfair Library.
Also if you have not yet checked out the giant rotating balloon sculpture at the National Museum of Scotland, don't miss it! The installation is titled Event Horizon and it is a work of artist Jason Hackenwerth. It will remain in situ until 22 April.
14TH APRIL, SATURDAY
Scottish Ballet: Highland Fling
Fancy a wee Scottish ballet? Matthew Bourne's Highland Fling, a romantic wee ballet is coming to Edinburgh's Festival Theatre. Book your tickets here, there are still a few available for both the matinee and evening performance this Saturday.
15TH APRIL, SUNDAY
What's new in Stockbridge?
Sundays are for sunny strolls in Stockbridge, don't you agree? (Or perhaps there's too much alliteration in the previous statement.) There are a few new places in the area which we think might be worth checking out! Starting with Good & Proper Deli, they have just opened a couple of days ago at 74 Raeburn Place. La Barantine has also recently opened their Stockbridge shop at 27B Raeburn Place. If you want to stick with the 'good old' favourites, you can often find us grabbing a cake at Lovecrumbs Stockbridge or at The Pastry Section, while our favourite brunch spots are Cowan & Sons and The Pantry.
Have a nice weekend!
