What to do this weekend: 28-29 April
City of Superheroes
Have you heard that Edinburgh is turning into the City of Superheroes this weekend? There are lots of exciting things happening in town from superhero-themed cocktails to walking tours and special discounts. How about popping in to the Whiski Rooms for a Black Widow (a twist on espresso martini) or for a Thyme Stone (gin with lime juice and thyme syrup) to the Printing Press? Those with a sweet tooth can grab some comic book themed cupcakes from Cuckoo and then have a special tour of Gladstone's Land or The Green Lantern Way at The Real Mary King's Close.
28TH APRIL, SATURDAY
Canteen Street Food Festival
The Canteen Street Food Fest is back at the Archerfield Walled Garden. Head to this East Lothian gem for delicious street food, live music and open air bar. April's vendors include Harajuku Kitchen, Herringbone and Mimi's Bakehouse amongst others. Fingers crossed the sun will also make an appearance!
Who does not love a bit of Swedish tragicomedy? August Strindberg Swedish author's piece titled Creditors will be performed at the Lyceum. This Saturday is one of the preview nights and the performance is on until 12 May. Besides the evening plays, there will be also matinees on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
29TH APRIL, SUNDAY
TradFest is kicking off this weekend with plenty of cool events planned for Sunday. Our pick of the day is a free (but ticketed) event with secret stories about the Bank of Scotland Headquarters. Check out the full festival programme here. TradFest is on until 6th May.
Have a nice weekend!
