What to do this weekend: 7-8 April
Tales of the Cocktail
This weekend the Tales of the Cocktail tour arrives in Edinburgh and cocktail enthusiasts can expect four intense days of education and celebration. There will be seminars, tastings, distillery meet and greets, bar tours and more. Check out the full schedule and buy your tickets here.
West End Art Festival
There is a brand new festival in town showcasing art at Edinburgh's West End. Participating venues include The Scottish Art Club at Rutland Square, Union Gallery and Gallery TEN. While there, why not check out the lovely local shops such as Frontier and try some new restaurants and bars such as Otro and the Voyage of Buck. We might be biased as we live nearby, but the West End is one of our favourite areas to stroll in the hood.
7TH APRIL, SATURDAY
Deep Time Walk
Have you heard about the Deep Time Walk mobile app? Join the live performance of the walk narrated by Dr Stephan Harding, covering 4.6km of trail around Holyrood Park. Expect to travel across the Earth's geological timeline at a rate of 1 million years per metre. Pretty quick to cover 4.6 billion years, isn't it? Make sure to wear appropriate footwear and outdoor clothing for the walk.
8TH APRIL, SUNDAY
Piano Dissection Live
Pop in to the Botanics this Sunday between 2-5pm to watch the disassembling of 52 pianos which will be used to build an upcycled amphitheatre. The event is part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival.
Edinburgh Cycle Fair
Are you into all things cycling? Make sure to visit the inaugural Edinburgh Cycle Fair at the Out of the Blue Drill Hall this Sunday. Exhibitors include Ronde, Spokes and Velow Bikeworks amongst others. Expect competitions, great deals and retro bits on offer.
Have a nice weekend!
