What to do this weekend: 19-20 May
Festival of Museums
Are you ready for 3 days of museum fun happening all over Scotland? The Festival of Museums is kicking off this Friday and there are plenty of Edinburgh events featured in the programme. How about a free full day Museum Marathon on Saturday (promise, no running involved) or visiting Lauriston Castle to mark the cherry blossom season? Alternatively you could visit Jupiter Artland, which is finally open for the season - and the weather forecast looks perfect to visit our favourite outdoor art museum!
19TH MAY, SATURDAY
Nurture Nature, Eat Series
We are booked in for a special dinner this weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary with Mr Enthusiast. Buck & Birch, our favourite foragers and cooks, the guys behind the pretty special Aelder Elixir are hosting a 7 course dinner at Portobello's Dalriada. If you fancy coming along too, you can book your tickets via Eventbrite. We have been to multiple Buck & Birch dinners in the past and can thoroughly recommend the experience!
Will you be watching the Royal Wedding this Saturday afternoon? If your answer is yes, why not head to St Andrews. Fairmont St Andrews are hosting a special Royal Afternoon Tea with live screening of the wedding. The offer also includes a slice of a giant lemon elderflower cake, same flavour as Harry's and Meghan's.
20TH MAY, SUNDAY
Glasgow Coffee Festival
Coffee lovers should head to Glasgow - the Briggait is hosting a 2-day-long Glasgow Coffee Festival. The venue itself is pretty special, as it used to be Glasgow's fish market - but don't worry, it certainly won't smell anything fishy this weekend. Expect masterclasses, workshops, presentations and everything about coffee. We will be on the cold brew!
Have a nice weekend!
