What to do this weekend: 26-27 May
Hidden Door Festival
Hidden Door is back at the old Leith Theatre with 10 days of packed programme. Expect cinema, dance, music, spoken word, theatre and visual art. There will be also special events such as artist talks, workshops and tours. Oh and looks like there will be plenty of sunshine on Leith this weekend!
While in Leith, why not also check out The Tartan Blanket Co sample sale which is running during the whole bank holiday weekend. Now how do I convince Mr Enthusiast that we need another wool throw for the sofa? If you are not after blankets, there will be also scarves, homeware and most importantly Pimms.
26TH MAY, SATURDAY
Looks like porridge is becoming super fashionable in the 'burgh - there are not one but two pop-ups this weekend. Blondilox will be popping up with samples at Neal's Yard Remedies from 11am this Saturday. Meanwhile Groats will be offering healthy breakfasts at Leith's Custom Lane from 10am both Saturday and Sunday.
27TH MAY, SUNDAY
Are you a fellow classical music enthusiast? Then here's something for you hosted by Usher Hall this Sunday, as part of their Sunday Classics programme. The Dresden Philharmonics with Arabella Steinbacher will be performing Tsaikovsky's violin concerto on her 1716 Stradivarius.
Have a nice weekend!
