What to do this weekend: 2-3 June
ECA Degree Show
The 9 day long Edinburgh College of Art Degree Show opens this weekend, showcasing the work of this year's art graduates at multiple venues. Pop into the ECA Main Building, The Fire Station at Lauriston Place, Minto House or Adam House at Chambers Street and Evolution House at West Port to check it all out. The good news: entry to the degree show is free and you can even meet the exhibiting artists in person.
Juniper Gin Fest
Meanwhile at Summerhall the rooms will be filled with gin (and gin lovers) - the annual Juniper Gin Festival is back for the 5th time this year. Meet the gin experts, taste delicious gin cocktails or drink it neat, attend masterclasses and learn about your G&T. We visited the fest last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, cannot wait to check out this year's offer.
2ND JUNE, SATURDAY
Visit Little Sparta
Do you like pretty gardens? Then you should check out Little Sparta, the garden of Ian Hamilton Finlay. They offer a minibus service on the first Saturday of the month, departing from the Scottish Poetry Library at 11.30am. Book your tickets here.
I am currently awaiting an operation and my pre-surgery bucket list included a visit to Edinburgh Food Studio. We're ticking this item off the list this weekend and we will be tasting some Bolivian food cooked by chef Mauricio Lopez. After some visa issues, Mauricio is finally in the 'burgh and if you are lucky, you might be able to grab a spot at one of the two giant shared tables.
3RD JUNE, SUNDAY
Tea & Chocolate Tasting
Tea and chocolate sounds like a perfect pairing and we love both. This Sunday Pekoetea in Tollcross is hosting a tasting event and you can book your tickets via Eventbrite. They have teamed up with Pacari Chocolates, an ethically sourced chocolate from Ecuador.
Have a nice weekend!
