Poolside at Saorsa

Starting from this weekend, the Saorsa Art Gallery in Stockbridge is hosting Soo Burnell's photo exhibition titled 'Poolside'. You might be familiar with Soo's work if you follow her popular instagram account @sooukdotcom or maybe you have already purchased one of her beautiful prints. Her 'Poolside' exhibition is showcasing Edinburgh's stunning Victorian swimming pools and you can visit the display until 15th July. I'm hoping to get a framed photo of the Dalry Swim Centre, our local pool.

Art Car Boot Sale

Meanwhile in Glasgow there is an Art Car Boot Sale happening as part of the Hypermarket weekender at the SWG3 Studio Warehouse. Expect limited editions, prints, artist books and works by over 100 contemporary artists. There will be also packing service, street food and cocktail bars. Buy your tickets here for Saturday and here for Sunday.

Borough Leith Launch

There is a brand new restaurant in Leith called Borough, occupying the space where Norn used to be. Borough Leith will be opening their doors from Saturday, starting with a special soft launch offer of 20% off your bill until 20th July. Make sure to book in advance and to be eligible for the offer quote 'NEIGHBOUR'. Check out the Facebook event here.

Ross Fountain Switch On

The long awaited Ross Fountain switch on is finally happening this Sunday in West Princes Street Gardens. A free family fun day is planned to celebrate the switch on, indluding live music, bouncy castle, face painting and storytelling. The event will take place between noon and 4pm, with the switch on happening at 1pm. It will be the first time since 2001 that the fountain will have water in it!

Have a nice weekend!
