What to do this weekend: 18-19 August
Common Cocktails with Eden Locke
Did you know that during the festival month Eden Locke is serving special nitro cocktails? Using Common Coffee cold brew, they created a Cold Brew Negroni and they also have the classic Espresso Martini on the menu. Join the Facebook event here.
18TH AUGUST, SATURDAY
For the third Saturday of the Fringe IOLLA has teamed up with MUD Urban Flowers and Eteaket, for a pop-up of flower workshops and tea tasting. Sounds like the perfect Saturday plan, doesn't it? If you missed the workshops, you can still preorder to collect a lovely MUD bouquet on the day from the IOLLA showroom.
Summer Supper Series
This Saturday marks the start of the Summer Supper Series at 27 Elliott's. Judging by the delicious seasonal breakfasts and lunches they serve, you're in for a treat if you join. For £28 a head the dinner will include 3 seasonal dishes and homemade soft drinks by Jess Elliott Dennison, chef-owner of 27 Elliott's and author of the Salad Feast cookbook. And the good news: the offer includes BYOB corkage for free. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite and if you can't make this Saturday, you can book other dates - we're booked in for next Saturday and cannot wait.
19TH AUGUST, SUNDAY
Culross Fete and Farmers' Market
Escape the festival city and visit the picturesque royal burgh of Culross for the day - which you may already be familiar with from the popular Outlander series. This Sunday the local community will be organising a Fete and Farmers' Market and Fair on the Green. There will be also costumed guides at Culross Palace and you can learn about life at the Palace during the 16th and 17th centuries.
Have a nice weekend!
