What to do this weekend: 25-26 August
Visit Gosford House
Have you ever heard of Gosford House? It's a beautiful estate located in Longniddry, East Lothian. It's rarely open to the public and it very much looks like the next few days are the last public days in 2018. We've been planning to visit all summer, but never made it - fingers crossed Mr Enthusiast will agree to drive me there this weekend. The bad news: visitors are not allowed to take pictures inside. The good news: there's lots of marble. Don't forget to bring cash for tickets and leave your bags in the car.
25TH AUGUST, SATURDAY
Canteen Street Food Fest
Once in East Lothian, why not visit Canteen at the Archerfield Walled Garden. Expect plenty of street food, live music and hopefully some sunshine! This Saturday's traders include the Marshmallow Lady, Mimi's Takoyaki and Poco Prosecco amongst others.
26TH AUGUST, SUNDAY
Pop-up exhibition at Circus Lane
Have you always wanted to check out one of the cute houses of Circus Lane? You're in luck - number 21 Circus Lane will be open this weekend for a pop-up exhibition and you will have the chance to see the latest works of Robyn Charlotte Wade, Gilli Sleigh, Rosaleen Rozz Mcknight and Joanna Srokol. Sign up for the Facebook event here.
Plan your Doors Open Days schedule
If the weather foreast is true, Sunday is likely to be a proper dreich and cold day. Perfect to spend it inside a cuppa and browse the Doors Open Days programme online. You might have missed signing up for the hottest events of Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival, but you can already book the Edinburgh ones too - and it's not advertised yet, so plenty of tickets left. Happy browsing!
Have a nice weekend!
