Third Weekend of Doors Open Days
September is the month of Doors Open Days is Scotland and although the Edinburgh version is not until the end of the month, there is plenty on offer - making it the perfect excuse for a daytrip from the 'burgh. This weekend's participating regions include: Glasgow, Aberdeenshire, Falkirk, Fife West, Caithness & Sutherland, Eastern & Highland Perthshire and Stirling. 15TH SEPTEMBER, SATURDAY
V&A Dundee Opens
The day has finally arrived and the acclaimed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma's stunning building opens to the public this Saturday with a major temporary exhibition featuring ocean liners. At the centre of the Scottish Design Galleries' permanent exhibits you will find the magnificent Charles Rennie Mackintosh Oak Room beautifully restored. We're so excited to check out the new museum soon!
16TH SEPTEMBER, SUNDAY
The annual harvest fest returns to the Royal Botanic Garden of Edinburgh this weekend. Expect music, tasters, fun activities and plenty of gardening advice. While at the Botanics, why not check out the RBGE diploma show, a showcase of works from the RBGE Botanical Illustration, Herbology and Plantsmanship courses. The exhibition will be on display at the Fletcher Building.
