What to do this weekend: 19-20 January
Beast from the East
Remember the ‘Beast from the East’ bringing us all the snow around this time last year? The team behind the popular restaurants Otro (West End) and New Chapter (Eyre Place) has created a limited edition cocktail marking 1 year since we got all snowed in. The cocktail is only available throughout January and it’s a Scottish take on a White Russian - ingredients include Scottish Cross Brew liqueur and a homemade syrop of winter spices. We’re popping in tomorrow to Otro to try it!
Lady Libertine launch weekend
Meanwhile at St Andrew’s Square Lady Libertine is throwing a launch party including DJ sessions. Amazing cocktails are guaranteed and they also have a great aperitivo offer with serving mezze between 5-7pm alongside your drinks. As a bonus, the bar is located in the gorgeous Edinburgh Grand building, what not to love!
Happy Here is a light installation at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and it runs until 24th February. The installation was created for the Pig Rock Bothy and it changes colour based on visitor’s answers to seven simple questions.
