What to do this weekend: 5-6 October
The Enchanted Forest: Cosmos
It's the first weekend of the annual Enchanted Forest light show near Pitlochry, in the heart of beautiful Perthshire. This year's show is inspired by the magnificience of the cosmos and as usual it is set up in the Faskally Woods. We visited the Enchanted Forest a few years ago for 'Shimmer' and can highly recommend the experience. Why not combine your Enchanted Forest visit with a weekend trip to pretty Pitlochry? Sounds like a plan!
Portobello Book Festival
Meanwhile at the Porty you can join a seaside book fest and even meet Ian Rankin if you’re lucky. The Portobello Book Festival is on all weekend and you can read the full programme here. While at the Porty, don’t forget to check out The Portobello Bookshop which has recently opened and it looks gorgeous!
5TH OCTOBER, SATURDAY
Edinburgh Coffee Festival
Are you a fellow coffee enthusiast and love your 'Sunday roast' in the form of freshly roasted coffee beans? You will be pleased to hear that the Edinburgh Coffee Festival is back at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange this Saturday. Tickets are available online until Friday but you can also get them on the door on Saturday. Exhibitors include Dear Green, Cairngorm Coffee, Common Coffee, Eteaket and Unorthodox Roasters. Those with sweet tooth, don’t miss visiting the stands of Bare Bone Chocolate and the Chocolate Tree.
6TH OCTOBER, SUNDAY
Urban Market Edinburgh
Urban Market is popping up at Tribe Porty this Sunday. Expect a carefully curated market with talented local traders, great tunes and delicious food and drink.
Have a nice weekend!
