What to do this weekend: 16-17 March
Borders Art Fair
It’s time to plan a daytrip to visit the beautiful Scottish Borders - the Borders Art Fair is on all weekend with a wide range of workshops, talks and tours. Highlights include tours of Mellerstain House and Marchmont House. Book your tours in advance and if you missed out, keep an eye on the houses’ website for future upcoming tours.
16TH MARCH, SATURDAY
127 is a lovely new cafe located at 127 George Street, occupying the airy ground floor space of Eden Locke. Previously named Hyde & Son, the cafe was recently relaunched and it’s possibly the prettiest (and certainly the most stylish) coffee spot in town. Pop in to grab a cuppa and some pastries, I particularly enjoyed their matcha latte with almond milk.
17TH MARCH, SUNDAY
It’s the last day of the Robert Blomfield photo exhibition and your last chance to visit this beautiful display at the City Art Centre. The exhibition features photos of the ‘burgh from the ‘50s to the ‘70s. Entry is free and it’s the perfect way to spend a dreich Sunday afternoon.
Have a nice weekend!
