What to do this weekend: 9-10 March
Harpsichord en fête
The Institute Francais d’Ecosse brings you Edinburgh’s first ever harpsichord festival, a celebration of harpsichord and baroque music. The concert venues are the beautiful St Cecilia’s Hall and the French Institute. If you love classical music, make sure to check out the programme.
9TH MARCH, SATURDAY
Pioneers: Women in Egyptology
To mark International Women’s Day, the National Museum of Scotland is hosting a talk with TV presenter Margaret Mountford on women’s legacy in egyptology. A very few people know that growing up I was dreaming about becoming an egyptologyst. I even applied for a place at university, but did not get in. So this talk is right up my street and highly recommend it for fellow ancient Egypt enthusiasts.
10TH MARCH, SUNDAY
Bowhouse Food Weekend
This foodie event is the perfect excuse for a roadtrip to the pretty East Neuk of Fife. Sample and buy some delicious Scottish food and drink from local producers at the Bowhouse Food Weekend - the list of traders include East Coast Cured, Unorthodox Roasters and Bibi’s Bakery amongst others. Check out the Facebook event for further details here.
Have a nice weekend!
