What to do this weekend: 20-21 April
Happy Easter everyone! It looks like the warmest weekend of the year (so far) is ahead of us, and as a bonus it’s the Easter weekend with plenty of fun activities happening in the ‘burgh. Here are our favourites:
- Vegan Easter Market (Saturday only) - the vegan cafe Beetroot Sauvage is running an Easter market with egg painting and egg hunt, and lots of lovely stalls.
- Essential Edinburgh Easter Egg Hunt - keep your eyes peeled while in town, some special Easter eggs have been hidden by Essential Edinburgh with prizes to be won. The egg hunt runs until 22nd April and @edincitycentre will share hints for the eggs’ location on their social channels. Good luck!
- Easter trail at the Botanics - join the Botanics Bunny on a spring quest through the garden and collect at treat at the end of the trail. Pick up your trail booklet from the John Hope Gateway reception.
20TH APRIL, SATURDAY
The arrival of warmer days means cherry blossom trees, tulips, rhododendrons and even some wisteria are starting to bloom, making Edinburgh look even prettier. Our favourite cherry blossom spots include the beautiful Yoshino cherry tree at the Botanics, the Meadows and along Princes Street Gardens. If you’re into rhododendrons, it might be worth checking out the garden tours offered by the Botanics.
21ST APRIL, SUNDAY
Edinburgh Science Festival
Have a nice weekend!
