5TH MAY, SUNDAY
Bridgeton Bus Garage Open Day
If you are a vintage vehicle enthusiast, visit the Bridgeton Bus Garage Open Day this Sunday organised by the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust. One of the preserved Glasgow Corporation buses will operate a free hourly service between the garage and George Square in Glasgow city centre. The service will depart George Square (at the bus stop between North Hanover Street and North Frederick Street) at 11.00, 12.00, 13.00, 14.00 and 15.00.
Visit a Scottish garden
May is the month of open days in some of our favourite Scottish gardens. This Sunday the following gardens are opening their doors as part of the Scotland’s Gardens Scheme charity event.
- Dr Neil’s Garden - tucked away in Duddingston village, Dr Neil’s Garden is a real gem. This garden is also open as part of the charity event on Saturday. While in Duddingston, why not pop in to the historic Sheep Heid Inn for pub lunch too.
- Moray Place and Bank Gardens - if you have always wanted to visit a private Edinburgh New Town garden, this is your chance. Not one, but two of them will open for visitors this Sunday.
- Garden of Cosmic Speculation - every year a sell-out event, for a reason. This is a truly special garden which only opens for 1 day in a year. Read more about the event here.
Have a nice weekend!
