What to fo this weekend: 22-23 June
Edinburgh International Film Festival
One of our favourite festivals, the Edinburgh International Film Festival kicked off on Wednesday and it's on until 30 June. There are plenty of great films to choose from and there is a special focus on Spanish cinema this year.
Royal Highland Show
Everyone loves a hairy highland coo, especially kids and the Royal Highland Show is a great place for a wee taste of country life. If you're not up for the crowds you might want to consider visiting Gorgie City Farm instead - they are open 7 days a week.
22ND JUNE, SATURDAY
Southern Exposure returns to Summerhall this Friday and Saturday. The line-up includes Scottish bands Pictish Trail, Piroshka (Friday) and Be Charlotte (Saturday). The courtyard bar will have craft beer and cocktails and delicious street food served by Ròst Eats. What a brilliant way to celebrate Midsummer - let’s hope for a balmy evening!
