Edinburgh Food Festival

The food fest is on all weekend at George Square Gardens and we are paricularly excited about it as Seabuckthorn Scotland will make an appearance selling our favourite wild berries. Other stallholders include Umami Spice Girl, Poco Prosecco, Pickering’s Gin, Alanda’s seafood and gelato - so much choice! There will be also special events, such as yoga with the Kilted Yogi, Finlay Wilson.

Music at Paxton

Paxton House near Berwick-upon-Tweed at the Scottish Borders is hosting a summer festival of classical chamber music. Expect some late night jazz, folk music and choral music. Paxton’s beautiful Picture Gallery has great acoustics so you’re in for a treat. Browse the full programme and book your tickets online here.

Pyrus at Custom Lane

Pyrus Botanicals are popping up at Custom Lane with a free exhibition titled Symbiont, showcasing botanical and foraged materials. The exhibition is on until the end of the month and it will be accompanied by various events and workshops, such as a botanical ceramic workshop with Cara Guthrie, an evening of parfume and poetry with Jorum Studio and others and an afternoon of tea tasting and remedies with Herbal Scotland.

Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival

It’s the final weekend of the Edinburgh jazz fest - have you booked your tickets yet? Our top picks are the New Orleans Swamp Donkeys Traditional Jass Band and the Cat Loud Quartet. Browse the full programme here.

Glasgow Canal Festival

If you loved the Edinburgh Canal Fest back in June, why not pop over to Glasgow this Saturday to check out the Glasgow Canal Fest on the Forth & Clyde Canal. The event is only 5 minutes walk away from Cowcaddens subway, between Speirs Locks and Applecross Basin. Expect activities on water, heritage boat trips, treasure trail, storytelling and much more. Browse the full programme here.

Dogs’ Day Out at Traquair

Are you a dog owner? Then it’s time for you and your pup to visit Traquair House in Innnerleithen, at the beautiful Scottish Borders. This Sunday they are hosting a Dogs’ Day Out event with a range of activities for both dogs and their owners - highlights include dog show with classes, sheep dog demonstration, agility, walks and Mini Circus. Tickets can be purchased on the day or online.
