What to do this weekend: 6-7 July
Cut and Paste - Live
Take part in a public art project and contribute to an evolving collage art mural at St Andrew Square. The event marks the recent opening of a major temporary exhibition at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art focusing on 400 years of the collage technique. The exhibition features more than 250 works including pieces from Picasso. We were lucky to attend a preview of the exhibition and thoroughly recommend checking it out - it’s on until 27 October.
Fóram x Other Side
Fóram and the Other Side Wine are hosting an open house at Porteous Studio this weekend. Pop in between 12-9pm for beautiful wines and plates from the grill. Capacity is limited - first come, first served.
6TH JULY, SATURDAY
Botanic Cottage Open Hour
On every first Saturday of a month between March and October, the Botanic Cottage is open for visitors just for an hour. This Saturday’s opening hour is between 2-4pm and entry to the cottage is free.
7TH JULY, SUNDAY
125 Years of Transport Heritage in Glasgow
The Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust is opening its Bridgeton Bus Garage this Sunday. There will be a large gathering of vintage buses including Glasgow’s oldest surviving bus, a 90 year old Leyland Titan. First Glasgow’s Caledonia Depot will also be opening its doors to celebrate its heritage and a special bus service will operate every 15 minutes linking Bridgeton, Caledonia and the city centre.
Have a nice weekend!
